Ref Previous Proj 3305 / Funding will be used to construct western fire station. The fire station will be situated within a portion of an existing warehouse building, owned by UVA, in accordance with a long-term lease. Construction of the fire station will allow the County to meet the response time goals in the western portion of the countyÂ’s development area that is adjacent to the City. Currently, the area is served by the CityÂ’s Ivy Rd station which will be relocated to the Fontaine Research park area. The relocated station will not be able to meet the response time requirements in the western portion of the countyÂ’s development area that is adjacent to the City.Wiki Description
